TBWA’s commitment to child safeguarding

Last week, TBWA took another significant step in their commitment to protecting children by participating in the first of three safeguarding children workshops as proud members of the On Us Coalition.

The session was nothing short of inspiring, with top leadership, including the CEO, demonstrating their unwavering dedication to societal issues, particularly child safeguarding. Together, they delved into the unique challenges facing the marketing and advertising sector, fostering an environment full of meaningful discussion and profound insights.

Kimberlee Wells, CEO of TBWA, said “Taking time to think deeply and establish clear business principles pertaining to the safeguarding of children is imperative for any organisation. From physical safety to psychological safety, Phil shares a myriad of ways we can all do better to protect those most vulnerable.”

But TBWA’s journey doesn’t end at awareness; they are gearing up to translate their knowledge into tangible action. The upcoming workshops will empower TBWA to craft a tailored child safeguarding self-assessment and embark on the development of their comprehensive child safeguarding action plan.

Well done to TBWA for their proactive approach and commitment to making a real difference for children and young people in Australia. Their dedication sets a stellar example for businesses everywhere. As we continue to champion child safeguarding initiatives, we extend an open invitation to fellow businesses to join the On Us Coalition.

Together, let’s create a world where every child is safe and protected. Connect with us today and be part of the Coalition.

acknowledgement of country and abuse victims
The On Us: Australian Business Coalition for Safeguarding Children acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters across Australia in which we share. We honour and pay our respects to Elders past and present and acknowledge the many thousands of years in which First Nations’ peoples have raised their children to be safe and strong. We also acknowledge the spirit and courage of victims and survivors of childhood abuse, exploitation and violence. Their efforts over many years have inspired our commitment to make changes at every level to better protect the children of today.
